India Sport City

FACT: Only 50 million (6.50%) of India’s population has access to organized sports in the country.

VISION: WHY INDIA SPORTS CITY?

– Build a world class sports infrastructure and make available the best sporting technology and equipment, which is vital to development of sports.
– Create champions and winners in the next decade representing India in the International arena.
– Excellence in sport on a professional level with have a positive effect on sports and activities in general.

Our concept is predicated by a global imperative for an environmentally sustainable future.  Any effort to bring about sustainable development, must concentrate not only on the physical environment and areas specific local circumstances, but also on the key social and economic factors that work together with the built form to create a successful and enduring community.

CONCEPT / MASTERPLAN OBJECTIVES

We suggest a compression of the built areas and expansion of the green. Compression and densification reduces the need for infrastructure (roads and utilities), reduces traffic in each module, preserves more green and reduces heat accumulation and surface water problems.

A sense of community, a feeling of place, and social cohesion are pivotal to a sustainable community, and moreover a unique challenge when designing a new development. There are a number of key attributes and issues that should be considered from the outset in any community master planning exercise: program diversity, infrastructural intelligence, densification, and focus on permanent residents, world class offerings, and local presence. If these are developed and embedded within the process, this brings about a more stable and socially and economically sustainable community.

The development will be a ZERO C02 development. India Sports City will be a showcase of environmentally friendly transport, energy preservation, building methods and materials, nature preservation and a constant awareness of the environmental importance.
