Mz Parking

The garage building will function as an annex to the Palace Hotel, providing spaces for guests and clients of the restaurant and events hall. The garage is essential for the functioning of the hotel, which will contribute to the entire revitalization of the Historic Center of Salvador.

The property is located in a low topographical level, behind the Barroquinha Church, making the site largely invisible from the surrounding streets. The volume of the garage is shaped to maintain this “invisibility”. Based on a topographic survey, the construction volume was determined in order to create the minimum impact from important points of view, preserving the visibility of the existing buildings nearby, such as Igreja da Barroquinha and Teatro Gregório de Matos.

The garage building was designed as an ornate open structure. The ring facade will be covered with ERA-type vines to create a geometric pattern of nature, and as such, the plants become a contemporary translation of the richly ornamented facades of the city of Salvador.
