SPOL believes that the future should be sustainable. We are committed to developing environmentally friendly solutions and dedicated to finding viable and sustainable alternatives to build better cities. With the introduction of new technologies that enable the widespread use of engineered wood in Brazil and Europe, the possibility of choosing this material becomes increasingly feasible in the construction industry for companies that prioritize ESG agendas.

Together with our clients, SPOL has invested in the development of projects using Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). Cross Laminated Timber is an advanced technology that offers significant advantages compared to conventional building materials. It is a renewable and sustainable resource that helps reduce carbon footprint and minimize environmental impact.

Despite not being widely adopted as a standard alternative, it is on par with other structural materials, as wooden buildings have high structural strength, allowing for efficient and durable construction. By developing projects with wooden structures, we understand that we are contributing to reducing dependence on non-renewable construction materials like concrete and steel, which have a negative impact on the environment during their production process.

Cross Laminated Timber is produced from sustainably sourced timber, ensuring a sustainable raw material cycle. We have developed projects using wood both in Europe and Brazil. We believe that these constructions are not only visually appealing and biophilic but also represent the sustainable positioning we advocate for.

Through material specification, we are committed to developing projects that combine functionality with environmental responsibility, aiming to build cities where sustainability serves as the foundation for progress. The images showcase the use of this material in some of our projects.
