We make an invite to the Norwegian home, the Norwegian public rooms, to rooms where literature is discussed. We shut out the weather and the world, staging places where Norwegians thrive, when time goes by slower, where people congregate, rooms for the good conversations.
A built manifestation to the power of books, a solid framework around Norwegian culture and literature, designed to give lasting memories and a reference point for the future. We invite professionals, journalists and audiences, we meet here, indoors, our common Norwegian identity.
The rooms connect with each other and to the outside world, to new opportunities, where new doors open up to new angles, new perspectives; new ways to perceive the world. And in this the possibilities open to look out, to look ahead, to meet the world, to go back into the cold or look at the sun, a little wiser, a little more expectant, better prepared to relate to a complex and unimaginable world, dreams and hopes for next day, next year.
The exhibition spans from the almost infinite amount of pieces of Norwegian literature framing the pavilion to the intimate spaces presenting individual works, from the world’s diversity to the tangible and comprehensible.
