Viva!

The Viva project was a highlight and represents a unique opportunity for urban development in the city of São Paulo, enabling a radical transformation of the Campo Belo neighborhood.

SPOL’s chosen approach was a robust development strategy that takes precedence over design. The project is guided by the strategic organization of its uses, with an adaptable architectural concept that ensures maximum flexibility, allowing a greater degree of freedom for each of the main programs. The design is fully integrated, yet it presents distinct identities for each program and building. The composition of these elements is structured to be complete regardless of the phase of implementation. It begins at the city level, optimizing flows, organization, and volumes. Its pure form makes it resilient to future adaptations related to market demands or architectural trends. Our premise is to create urban life, aiming to maximize the potential of all the development’s functions.

With a comprehensive program mix combined with the architectural concept, the project becomes an “Urban Acupuncture” point, transforming the block into a destination and hub—an attraction center that radiates life and draws investment. The proposal ensures maximum visibility and accessibility for each program, optimal exposure for commerce and services at street level, and encourages the interaction of diverse audiences using the complex. The strategy was designed to enhance the attractiveness of urban spaces both within and beyond the built environment. The project’s development was a consequence of its phasing—determining the strategy.
